My theory for shooting headshots is simple: it's about connection.
Your headshot session should be an joyful and relaxed experience. It should feel like getting your headshots done by a good friend. That way you're not nervous in front of the camera and we can get some great images.
With confidence, I can say that every single person I've shot that's adamantly said they never take a good photo has gotten more than one with me. Mostly, it's because I create a fun no stress atmosphere so we can have a relationship of trust. That way when I say, "hold that pose until your thigh goes numb," or "flare your left nostril but suck in your right ear lobe . . . now smile," it's because you know I'm doing it to get a certain reaction from you so we can get the shot. Whether it's your first time or you're a seasoned pro, we'll worked together so that the connection is captured on your new headshot. See you behind the lens. Cheers.
